ARCATA, Calif. - Cal Poly Humboldt women's soccer held No. 10 UCCS scoreless for 90 minutes and earned a 0-0 draw Thursday afternoon at College Creek Field.
The Lumberjacks withstood early pressure from the nationally ranked Mountain Lions, who produced six shots and four corner kicks during the opening half.
Ari Beddoes made two first-half saves to send the match into halftime scoreless.
Humboldt created more opportunities after the break, recording four of its six shots during the final 45 minutes.
Isis-Jade Bryant and
Heidie Munoz each placed an attempt on target, but UCCS goalkeeper Lucy Kapranos stopped both shots.
The Mountain Lions continued to apply pressure with four second-half shots and four additional corner kicks. Beddoes made another save after halftime as Humboldt's defensive unit preserved the shutout.
UCCS finished with a 10-6 advantage in shots, a 4-2 edge in shots on goal and an 8-1 advantage in corner kicks.
Beddoes recorded three saves while posting their third consecutive clean sheet. The Lumberjacks have not allowed a goal over their last 270 minutes, a stretch that includes a 3-0 victory over Hawai'i Pacific and scoreless draws against Hawai'i Hilo and UCCS.
Humboldt moves to 2-1-2 on the season and extends its unbeaten streak to three matches.

The Lumberjacks will travel to San Rafael to face Dominican on Saturday, Sept. 12, at noon at Kennelly Field.
