Cal Poly Humboldt Athletics

Colin Garon enters his 5th season as an assistant women’s soccer coach for Cal Poly Humboldt in 2026. 

Garon began his college coaching career at Humboldt as a volunteer assistant and goalkeeper coach for both the men’s and women’s programs in 2010. He also held positions at UC Davis, on the women’s side, and Pacific University (OR), on the men’s side. After a stint in the Bay Area coaching club soccer for San Ramon FC, Garon returned to his alma mater in 2022. 

Garon helped lead the Lumberjacks to their first CCAA conference tournament title in program history and the first NCAA appearance in 30 years. Since his arrival, the team has made the CCAA tournament four consecutive years running, another program first. During his time under Head Coach, Grant Landy, the team has amassed a 36-24-19 record. 

As a player, Garon played goalkeeper for the then Humboldt State University men’s soccer team from 1998-2001.
