ARCATA – With its weekend sweep of Cal Poly Pomona and Cal State San Bernardino the Humboldt State women's soccer team got back its winning ways and regained some much-needed confidence. The Jacks will look to sweep their homestand against No. 23 Sonoma State Sunday at 12:30 in Redwood Bowl.
Head-to-Head: After the 2-0 defeat to Sonoma State Sept. 24 in Rohnert Park, the Seawolves hold a 10-5-2 all-time record against Humboldt State.
Cumbo's Comments: “When we played Sonoma State in September, it was possibly their best game, but it was also one of our worst,” said Humboldt State head women's soccer coach Andy Cumbo. “Everything we did wrong against Sonoma the first time, we have corrected. We have momentum and confidence again after this weekend's results to be successful”
Lumberjacks Notes: With the weekend sweep, the Jacks got back over the .500 mark and now stand 8-6-1 and 4-4-1 in the CCAA. They also improved their record in Redwood Bowl to 6-1. ...Forward

Opponents Notes: Sonoma State enters its rematch with Humboldt State with a 10-3-1 overall record and a 6-2-1 mark in the CCAA. ...Along with being ranked No. 23 nationally in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America/adidas poll last week, the Seawolves were No. 3 in the West Region behind Seattle Pacific and Western Washington. ...The Seawolves leading goal scorer, ironically, is defender Lindsay Catton, who has scored eight goals, which places her in a tie for second in the CCAA.
