Head Coach Robin Meiggs' Comments
“We expect a good showing this weekend as a team. We know that Western (Washington) is currently posting the fastest women's eight time in the nation at the DII level, and is on par with many DI programs.” … “University of Puget Sound is about five seconds off Western's times, followed by Willamette and Seattle Pacific.” … “We believe that Western will be the NCAA DII bid out of the West. Leaving SPU and Humboldt to compete for the at-large bids nationally. We are 13 seconds off of Seattle Pacific, and it will be difficult to close that gap - though not impossible.”
