ARCATA, Calif. – Humboldt State women's soccer wrapped up its 2016 season with a 1-0 loss to Cal State Dominguez Hills

Saturday's match marked the final appearance for seniors

Kylie Forbes.
"Today was fun, celebrating Kylie and Sammie. Both of them had good games and will be missed moving forward," said head coach
Paul Karver.
With the loss, HSU ends the season with a 4-12-2 overall record and a 2-8-2 mark in the California Collegiate Athletic Association, while Cal State Dominguez Hills improves to 8-9-0 overall and 4-8-0 in conference.
The Lumberjacks outshot the Toros 10-7, including a 7-4 advantage in the second half.
"The emotions were hard for our young group to manage, but despite that we had a number of great opportunities to score," said Karver. "It will be nice for the girls to have some time off before we start working towards the spring."
After a scoreless first half, the Toros picked up the only goal of the match in the 60
th minute when Kendra Serrano bent in a free kick from 20 yards out.
Bridget Daley and
Maddie McGarry each recorded two shots to lead the Lumberjacks offensive output.
Katelin Talbert notched a pair of saves in the loss.
