POMONA, Calif. -- Cal Poly Pomona came out 1-0 on top over Humboldt State this afternoon in the CCAA match-up hosted by the Broncos. The Lumberjack's went 79 scoreless minutes backed up by a solid defensive wall against Pomona's 15 shot attempts.

QUOTES FROM THE COACH: "Cal Poly Pomona is a fantastic team with a number of very athletic players that posed problems for us today," said head women's soccer coach Paul Karver. "We had a few stretches early where we established possession but as the game went on we struggled with our ability to play in transition moments. The girls worked hard today and deserve a great deal of credit for putting that type of pressure on a top level team."
