ARCATA, Calif.---  Selia Torres scored off a cross from Skyler Hoy in the 48th minute to give the visiting Stanislaus State Warriors the 1-0 win over Humboldt State this afternoon at College Creek Field in Arcata, Calif.  Katelin Talbert had seven saves in goal for the Lumberjacks.

QUOTES FROM THE COACH: "In the end, it was a nice finish by them that was the difference," said head coach Paul Karver.  "The girls fought hard and I am proud of the effort they put forth on a very difficult day."

FIRST HALF:  Stanislaus State (8-2, 3-1 CCAA) recorded the first shot on goal attempt in the 13th minute which Katelin Talbert stopped off the foot of Autumn Halvorson.  One minute later, Talbert made another stop this time off the foot of Sadie Ortiz.  Humboldt State had a chance to take the early lead but Sabine Postma's shot sailed wide right.  The Warriors had another chance to take the lead, but Ortiz shot was stopped by Talbert in the 38th minute.  The last shot on goal attempt of the half came in the 42nd minute when Talbert stopped Ilena Rivera's attempt.

SECOND HALF:  The Warriors took the 1-0 lead just two minutes in the second half when Torres connected on a ball from Skyler Hoy to give the visitors the 1-0 lead.  Pikake Hix had a chance to tie the game at 1-1 in the 54th minute, but Alyssa Herman made one of two saves on the afternoon.  Humboldt State (1-5-2, 0-3 CCAA) had one more chance to tie the game, but Selena Osorio's shot sailed to the left of the goal as the Warriors held on for the 1-0 victory.

GOALIES:  Katelin Talbert had seven saves in goal for the Lumberjacks while Alyssa Herman had two in goal for the Warriors.
