QUOTES FROM THE COACH:  "The girls played hard today and created a number of opportunities," said head coach Paul Karver.  "It was fantastic to get the goal in overtime and have a reward for the quality we showed all day.  SF State caused a number of different match-up issues and our girls did a fantastic job of solving the problems."

SECOND HALF:  Talbert made another save in the 47th minute when she stopped Sydney Yuen's shot on goal attempt.  One minute later, Humboldt State (4-9-2, 3-7 CCAA) had a chance to take the lead when Kelsey Bess' shot on goal attempt was stopped by the Gators' Garriott.  With just eight minutes left in regulation, Valerie Perez had two chances to be the hero for HSU when her shot attempts went high or were blocked as the match went into overtime tied at 0-0.

OVERTIME:  SF State had three attempts for the golden goal, but all three were stopped by Talbert in the first six minutes of the overtime.  With 32 seconds left in the first ten-minute extra period, Stoner connected on a ball from Pikake Hix for the golden goal as HSU took the 1-0 victory.
