BELMONT, Calif. --- Erin Siegel connected on a ball from
Sabine Postma to give Humboldt State a 1-0 lead in the 65
th minute, but the Argonauts tied the match at 1-1 with 17 minutes left in regulation to send the match into overtime. In the overtime, the Lumberjacks outshot Notre Dame de Namur 4-0 but couldn't get the ball into the back of the net as the two teams played to a 1-1 double overtime tie.

FIRST HALF: Humboldt State had a chance to take the early lead in the 11
th minute, but
Lindsay Stoner's shot sailed right. Six minutes later,
Erin Siegel had chance for the 'Jacks first goal but her shot was stopped by Alexis Aguilar. Five minutes later,
Kelsey Bess and
Sabine Postma each had shot on goal attempts be stopped by Aguilar.
Katelin Talbert stopped NDNU's Vanessa Sanchez's shot on goal attempt in the 31
st minute. HSU had one final chance in the 38
th minute for the match's first goal, this time
Selena Osorio's shot on goal attempt was stopped by Aguilar.
SECOND HALF: HSU came out firing in the new stanza when Siegel's shot on goal attempt was stopped by NDNU's goalie in the 55
th minute. At the 62
nd minute,
Pikake Hix had chance to give HSU a 1-0 lead but once again Aguilar stopped the 'Jack shot on goal attempt. Two minutes later, HSU took a. 1-0 lead on a goal by Siegel off a pass from Postma. HSU had a chance to double its lead, but Postma's shot on goal attempt was stopped by the Argonauts' keeper. Siegel also had a chance to double HSU's lead in the 67
th minute, but Aguilar recorded another save. Talbert made a key stop in the 72
nd minute for
HSU, but one minute later Ellie Mujushi tied the match at 1-1 for NDNU on a ball from Angelle Ferge and Julia Densmore. Siegel had two chances in the final minutes of regulation to give HSU back the lead, but Aguilar stopped her once chance and her other shot attempt sailed over the net to send the match into overtime.
OVERTIME: Erin Siegel recorded the only shot on goal attempt in the 95
th minute when Aguilar recorded the save. Siegel had another shot attempt in the 99
th minute but it sailed over the net to send the match into the second overtime. Only one shot attempt was recorded in the second half off the foot of Postma which sailed over the top of the net as the match ended in a 1-1 double overtime tie.
GOALIE: Katelin Tablert had eight saves in goal for HSU while Alexis Aguilar had 12 saves for NDNU.
UP NEXT: Humboldt State returns to the pitch in Portland, Oregon, on Sept 12 and 14. The 'Jacks will face No. 22 Concordia on Thursday at 7:30pm and Saint Martin's on Saturday at 4pm at Tuominen Yard in Hilken Community Stadium on Concordia's campus.
