POMONA, Calif--- Clara Lenihan scored on a chip shot over the goalkeeper's head in the 75
th minute as the visiting Humboldt State Lumberjacks defeated the Cal Poly Pomona Broncos 1-0 this afternoon in a CCAA match-up in Pomona. The 'Jack 1-0 win snaps the Broncos' winning streak and four.
Marisol Camargo recorded a career high six saves in goal for the 'Jacks in her first start of the season.

FIRST HALF: Cal Poly Pomona (8-5-2, 4-3-2 CCAA) had the match's first chance to take the lead, but
Marisol Camargo recorded one of her season high six saves in the fourth minute. The hosts had another chance in the 31
st minute, but this time Camargo stopped Sydney Kallman's shot on goal attempt. Two minutes later, Humboldt State had a chance to take the 1-0 lead but
Tana Eri's shot was stopped by the Bronco's Sydney Williams. Cal Poly Pomona had another chance late in the half but once again Camargo stopped the Bronco shot on goal attempt as the match went into the half scoreless.
SECOND HALF: The Broncos recorded the first shot on goal attempt in the 63
rd minute, when Allyssa Larkin's shot was stopped by the 'Jack keeper in the 63
rd minute. With 20 minutes left in regulation, Camargo stopped Cassie Snow's shot on goal attempt to keep the match scoreless. HSU had a chance one minute later, but
Clara Lenihan's shot on goal attempt sailed high over the net. At the 74:45 mark of the match,
Clara Lenihan connected on her fourth goal of the season on a chip shot over the keeper's head to give HSU a 1-0 lead. Cal Poly Pomona had a chance to tie the match at 1-1 with 27 seconds left in the match, but Camargo recorded her sixth and final save of the match as Humboldt State (4-8-4, 1-6-2 CCAA) took the 1-0 road win.

SPOILER: With the win, Humboldt State snapped Cal Poly Pomona's winning streak at four. The Broncos were sitting in fifth place in the CCAA standings heading into today's match. They were also ranked fifth in the first NCAA Division II West Regional rankings of the season that were released on Wednesday afternoon.
