ARCATA, Calif-- Eighty-nine of Humboldt State Lumberjacks' Student-Athletes earned a 3.50 or higher term grade point average (GPA) during the Fall 2021 semester. Of those, 81 earned academic honors, with 39 Lumberjacks being Named Presidential scholars and 42 being named to the Dean's list. In order to be considered for Academic Honors, a student must pass 12 graded units(A-F) and have earned a 3.85 GPA or higher to be a Presidential Scholar or a 3.50-3.85 GPA to be included on the Dean's List.
"Everyone associated with Lumberjacks Athletics is incredibly proud of the success our student-athletes enjoyed in the classroom this Fall", said
Cooper Jones, Executive Director of Intercollegiate Athletics and Campus Recreation. "These successes continue to build upon the core values of 'Lumberjacks Graduate, Lumberjacks Serve, Lumberjacks Win' that we have established as our new standard of success at HSU."
21 Student-Athletes went above and beyond, by achieving a 4.0 GPA and 63% of the 227 Lumberjack student-athletes posted above a 3.00 GPA during the fall semester.

In addition, many staff and faculty members at HSU play an important part in these successes and we appreciate their role in our academic achievements."
