PORTLAND, Ore.---  As announced by the office of the Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC), Cal Poly Humboldt's Varsity 4+ of Kylie Speth (coxswain), Sarah Lorenzini, Chloe Pieper-Wasem, Marie-Claire Desplancke and Amanda Roosma were named the GNAC Women's Rowing Crew of the Week
 
The Jacks captured both of their races at the Covered Bridge Regatta in Dexter, Oregon.  Humboldt won the first flight with a time of 8:14.02.  The Jacks came back in the afternoon during a rain and wind storm to win the second flight in a time of 9:36.3.
 
This is the second time this season that the Jacks have captured the GNAC Women's Rowing Crew of the Week.  The varsity 8+ captured this award on March 14 after they won the Aggie Invitational in Davis, Calif., and placed third at the Sacramento State Invitational. 
 
The seventh ranked Cal Poly Humboldt Lumberjacks will return to the water on May 1, when they compete in the WIRA Championships at Lake Natoma in Sacramento, Calif.  This will be their last race prior to the GNAC Championships on May 14.
