ARCATA, Calif. -- Cal Poly Humboldt hosted Stanislaus State on Saturday evening from Lumberjack Arena to close out their first home stand of 2024. With six minutes to go and a single digit deficit, the Jacks were unable to overcome the Warriors in the end and fell with a final score of 79-62.
Stan State opened the first half on a tear, as they jumped ahead of Humboldt 27-6 with 11 minutes to play in the first half.
Rob Diaz III heated up with seven minutes to go and went on a 14-0 run by himself to bring the Jacks within five points, 32-27. At the half, Humboldt trailed the Warriors 38-33.
A shot from
Sage Wayans to open the second half cut the deficit to just three points, but Stan State responded with a 13-2 run to go up by 14 points, 51-37.
Kareem Clark hit back-to-back jumpers that closed the gap to five points with seven minutes left in the game. However, the Warriors ran away in the final few minutes and extended their lead, earning a 79-62 win over Humboldt.

- Rob Diaz III posted 16 points and two steals
- Sage Wayans had 10 points on 66.7% shooting
- Kareem Clark shot 57% and tallied nine points
- Ramiah Adedigba recorded 10 points, four assists, three rebounds, and a steal
- Stan State shot 55.6% from the field and Humboldt shot 44.6% from the field
- The Jacks had more points off turnovers (21-11) and bench points (23-18) but the Warriors had more second chance points (16-6) and points in the paint (36-26)
- Stan State out-rebounded Humboldt 34-19
