Cal Poly Humboldt Signs Division I Transfer Josiah Sanders

ARCATA, Calif. – Cal Poly Humboldt head men's basketball coach Chris Tifft announced on Thursday the signing of Josiah Sanders.

"Josiah is a tremendous addition for our program," stated head coach Chris Tifft. "Not only is he a fantastic player, but he is a high character person. Josiah will provide our team great versatility with his ability to score, rebound, and facilitate offense. He will work tirelessly on and off the floor and give us the experience and toughness we need to move our program forward."

The 6'6" forward from Phoenix, Arizona joins the Lumberjacks as a transfer from Division I Central Michigan University. Despite redshirting one season and then receiving a medical redshirt the next at Central Michigan, Sanders brings a high level of competitiveness to Humboldt and is poised to make an immediate impact on the court. Prior to Central Michigan, Sanders played high school at Bella Vista College Prep and helped lead a talented team to a first place Northern Arizona section finish his senior season.
