Cal Poly Humboldt Signs Division I Transfer Cade Potter

ARCATA, Calif. – Cal Poly Humboldt head men's basketball coach Chris Tifft announced on Thursday the signing of Cade Potter.

"Cade is someone we have been following for quite some time," said Tifft. "His experience at High Point and Utah State will be extremely pivotal to our program as we continue to build a championship culture. He plays with strength and toughness, and can knock down shots from the perimeter. But best of all, Cade is a hard worker and is excited to be joining our Lumberjack basketball family."

The 6'7 forward from Yorba Linda, California joins the Lumberjacks after spending last season at High Point University in North Carolina. Potter helped lead the Panthers to a Big South Regular Season Championship, averaging 2.7 points and 3.3 rebounds per game. High Point finished the season with a 27-9 record, including 13-3 in conference play. Potter transferred to High Point from Utah State University, where he red-shirted during the 2022-23 season.

Potter graduated from Orange Lutheran High School in Orange, California. He averaged 10.8 points and 3.6 rebounds per game in his senior season.
