ARCATA, Calif. — Cal Poly Humboldt is proud to announce that two of its outstanding women's soccer alumni from the Class of 2024,
Grace Johnson and
Rhea Chan, have signed professional contracts to continue their athletic careers internationally.
Grace Johnson has signed with FC Pinzgau (FCPS), a club based in Saalfelden, Austria. FC Pinzgau competes in the Frauen Bundesliga II, one of Austria's premier women's soccer leagues. Johnson's signing with FCPS is a testament to her hard work, dedication, and performance during her time at Humboldt. The season for the Frauen Bundesliga II kicked off on August 18, and Johnson is already making strides with her new team.
Rhea Chan has joined the Manila Diggers, a professional league team in the Philippines Football Federation (PFF). As a new and dynamic team, the Manila Diggers are in the midst of building a strong roster and coaching staff for the upcoming season. Currently in pre-season, the Diggers are excited to welcome Chan as they gear up for competitive play. Chan's versatility and skill will make her a valuable asset to her new team.
Cal Poly Humboldt Athletics is immensely proud of Johnson and Chan for their achievements and wishes them continued success in their professional soccer careers. Their journeys are a source of inspiration for current and future student-athletes at Humboldt.
