Jacks Secure Fourth Straight Shutout to Remain Undefeated in CCAA Play

LIVERMORE, Calif. – Cal Poly Humboldt women's soccer extended its unbeaten start to California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) play with another dominant defensive effort, shutting out Cal State East Bay 2-0 on Friday afternoon at Las Positas College Soccer Field.

With goals from Karsyn Ross and Heidie Munoz, the Jacks (4-3-3, 2-0-1 CCAA) secured their fourth consecutive shutout, remaining undefeated in conference play and continuing their strong defensive form.

Ross opened the scoring in the 11th minute, netting her second goal of the season to give Humboldt an early edge. Just 13 minutes later, Munoz added to the lead with her first goal of the year, finishing off a dangerous attacking sequence to make it 2-0.

The Jacks' defense held firm throughout, with goalkeepers Carson Thomson-Terrel and Ari Beddoes combining for five saves to preserve the clean sheet. Humboldt has now gone over 360 minutes without conceding a goal, building one of the conference's most formidable backlines.

Offensively, Humboldt outshot East Bay 18-11, including 10 shots on goal. Munoz led the attack with five shots (three on target), while Ross added three shots (two on goal) to pace the Jacks' offense.

Defenders Kyla Okamoto, Karlie Yamada, and Payton Heaney each played the full 90 minutes, anchoring a back line that limited the Pioneers to just five shots on frame.
