CLINTON, Ill. – The Cal Poly Humboldt women's triathlon team will continue its 2025 season on Saturday, Oct. 4 at the Prairie State Collegiate Cup in Clinton, Illinois. The Lumberjacks will look to extend their early-season dominance and test their depth against a strong Midwest field. Athletes racing on Saturday include: Averill Payne, Poppy Edge, Eve Wendley, Teagan Farrell, and Kallen Mutchie.
LAST TIME OUT
Humboldt most recently competed at the Newport Harbor Triathlon in Newport, Oregon, following a commanding season-opening performance at the Mt. Shasta Tinman Triathlon. Last weekend, the Lumberjacks placed multiple athletes among the top finishers, with Anna Hanstveit leading the way. Teammates Rylee Morris, Sierra Erlandson, Evelyn Higgins, and Aydee Arredondo rounded out the top-10 finishers. Camille Shaver also finished near the top, highlighting Humboldt's mix of top-end talent and depth. The team continues to build momentum with a roster ready to compete at the highest level.
PRAIRIE STATE COLLEGIATE CUP
The Prairie State Collegiate Cup will challenge the Lumberjacks with a competitive field and a technical course across Clinton's scenic terrain. The race will consist of a 750-meter swim, 12-mile bike, and 3.2-mile run. Humboldt will aim to continue its early-season success while giving valuable race experience to its younger athletes.

UP NEXT
Following the Prairie State Collegiate Cup, the Lumberjacks will return to the West Coast to continue training and preparing for their next event, the West Regional Championship in Fort Worth, Texas, later in the fall on Sunday, Oct. 26.
