Five Lumberjacks Named to All-CCAA Women’s Soccer Team

ARCATA, Calif. – Cal Poly Humboldt women's soccer was well-represented on the 2024 All-California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Team, with five Lumberjacks earning postseason honors, the conference announced Thursday.

Freshman midfielder Karsyn Ross was selected to the All-CCAA Second Team, while goalkeeper Carson Thomson-Terrel, defender Josie Wolitzky, forward Heidie Muñoz, and defender Kyla Okamoto each earned All-CCAA Honorable Mention recognition.

Ross made an immediate impact in her debut season with the Jacks, anchoring the midfield with dynamic play making ability and consistency on both sides of the ball. Her strong first year earned her one of the conference's top honors among underclassmen. She leads the team with four goals on the season.

Thomson-Terrel, named All-CCAA for the second time in her career, continued to shine between the posts, providing leadership and stability for Humboldt's defensive unit throughout the season. She has recorded a team-high 40 saves so far this season.

Muñoz, previously the 2024 CCAA Freshman of the Year, added another accolade to her young career, earning honorable mention honors after leading the Lumberjacks' attack with her speed and scoring ability.

Wolitzky and Okamoto both played key roles in Humboldt's back line, helping the Lumberjacks record multiple shutouts this season while contributing defensively against some of the top offenses in the CCAA. The 'Jacks have arguably the best defense in program history, as they have the most shutouts in a single season with matches still to play and the most consecutive shutouts in a single season (6) in program history.

The five honorees mark the second year in a row that the team has had five All-CCAA showings, highlighting the depth and success of head coach Grant Landy's squad during the 2025 campaign.
