MONMOUTH, Ore. — Cal Poly Humboldt men's cross country closed out its 2025 campaign with a 19th-place team finish at the NCAA West Regional Championships, hosted by Western Oregon University at Ash Creek Preserve on Saturday morning.
The Lumberjacks tallied 455 points in a competitive 10K field that featured 23 teams from across the West Region.
Elias Wiggins led the way for Humboldt, finishing 67th overall with a time of 31:44.71. He was followed closely by Spencer Borin and Jacob Christoper, who placed 88th and 90th, clocking 32:26.74 and 32:27.43, respectively.
Gavin Burns crossed the line in 32:41.01 for 100th, while Daniel Shaver rounded out the scoring five in 110th place with a 32:59.38 finish.
Also competing for the Lumberjacks were Nicholas Woolery (132nd, 33:29.72) and Michael Sides (141st, 33:47.34).
With the result, Cal Poly Humboldt capped a season highlighted by continued improvement and depth throughout the lineup. Chico State took home the West Regional Championship with their first place finish. Western Washington and Cal Poly Pomona followed behind the Wildcats to podium as a team and qualify for the national championhips.
