ARCATA, Calif. – The 2025 CCAA Women's Track & Field Coaches Poll was released on Thursday, with Cal Poly Humboldt earning a first-place vote and securing the No. 7 spot in the preseason rankings.
Defending champion Cal Poly Pomona was selected as the favorite, receiving 140 points and 11 of the 12 first-place. Chico State followed in second place with 121 points, while Cal State San Bernardino rounded out the top three with 110 points. Stanislaus State (101) and Cal State San Marcos (93) completed the top five.
Cal State LA (80) placed sixth, just ahead of Cal Poly Humboldt (79), which garnered the remaining first-place vote. The Jacks finished above San Francisco State (62), Cal State East Bay (41), Cal State Monterey Bay (38), Sonoma State (38), and Cal State Dominguez Hills (33) in the 12-team poll.
The 2025 outdoor track & field season will begin this Saturday for Humboldt at the annual Green & Gold Open that is hosted in the Redwood Bowl.
