TURLOCK, Calif. – Cal Poly Humboldt Men's Track & Field kicked off the 2025 CCAA Championships with a strong showing on Thursday at Al Brenda Track, highlighted by three Lumberjacks qualifying for the 1500m final and a scoring performance in the 10,000m.
In the men's 1500m prelims, the trio of James Woolery, Elias Wiggins, and Jaxon Leduc all secured spots in Saturday's final with strong runs. Woolery led the group with a time of 4:02.21, followed closely by Wiggins in 4:04.40 and LeDuc in 4:06.25—each finishing within the top-12 to advance.
In the men's 10,000m final, Finn Granger delivered a gritty performance, placing 8th overall with a time of 32:29.24 to earn a valuable point for the Lumberjacks in the team standings.
Action continues Friday and Saturday in Turlock as Cal Poly Humboldt looks to build on its momentum in pursuit of a strong finish at the CCAA Championships.
