ARCATA, Calif. -- Cal Poly Humboldt head men's basketball coach DJ Broome announced on Wednesday the signing of 6'5" junior guard, Dorell Thomas.
"Dorell is a huge pickup for our program," said Broome. "I had the pleasure of coaching him his freshman year at Montana, and on top of being a very talented player, he's an incredible human being. I'm looking forward to watching him embrace this community while helping us chase our goals on the court this season."
Thomas joins the Lumberjacks after spending the after spending the past two seasons at Gillette College. Prior to Gillette College, he redshirted his freshman year at the University of Montana, where he crossed paths with head coach
DJ Broome. Over 33 games played last season at Gillette, Thomas averaged 12.1 points on 49.6% shooting, 3.2 rebounds, and 2.0 assists.
