ARCATA, Calif. -- Cal Poly Humboldt head men's basketball coach DJ Broome announced on Thursday the signing of 6'0" junior guard, Raydon Thorson.
"Raydon will be a huge piece for us this upcoming season," stated Broome. "His ability to create for others and defend at a high level will be instrumental to our success this year."
Thorson joins the Lumberjacks from College of the Sequoias (COS), where he was named the 2024-25 Central Valley Conference (CVC) Defensive Player of the Year. Over 28 games, Thorson averaged an impressive 3.5:1 assist/turnover ratio and a 6.8:1 assist/turnover ratio in conference play. He led COS in assists for the season (166) and in conference play (95). COS went 24-5 overall and 13-1 in CVC play last season.
