ARCATA, Calif. – Cal Poly Humboldt volleyball continues its opening week of CCAA action at home this Saturday, Sept. 20, when the Lumberjacks host Cal Poly Pomona at 2 p.m. PT inside Lumberjack Arena. The 'Jacks will look to build off Thursday night's strong showing and break through for their first win of the season in front of their home crowd.
LAST TIME OUT
Humboldt (0-9, 0-1 CCAA) opened conference play with a thrilling five-set battle against Cal State Los Angeles on Thursday night. SCOUTING THE BRONCOS
Cal Poly Pomona (3-4, 1-0 CCAA) comes into Saturday's contest as one of the CCAA's top programs and a consistent threat in the region. The Broncos, who received votes in the latest national rankings, boast a dynamic offense and stout defense that will challenge Humboldt at the net and in the back row. The Broncos were atop the standings last season, going 17-1 in conference play.
This matchup will be the first of two regular-season meetings between the teams, with the 'Jacks looking to defend their home court before traveling to Pomona later this season.
