Lumberjacks Score Four in Dominant Second Half Against Gators

ARCATA, Calif. – Cal Poly Humboldt women's soccer exploded for four second-half goals on Saturday afternoon, defeating San Francisco State 4-0 at College Creek Field. The Lumberjacks (2-3-2) broke a scoreless first half with a dominant offensive display that showcased their depth and precision on goal.

Humboldt struck first in the 55th minute when Ava Stevens found the back of the net on a low-right shot, assisted by Heidie Munoz, giving the Lumberjacks a 1-0 lead. Just over ten minutes later, Karsyn Ross scored on a high-right shot to extend the advantage to 2-0.

The Lumberjacks continued their scoring surge in the 66th minute as local product Alia Prentiss fired a high-center shot past the goalkeeper making it 3-0. Alexis Blue capped the scoring in the 85th minute with a low-left finish, securing the dominant 4-0 shutout.

Defensively, Humboldt was equally impressive, limiting San Francisco State to just seven shots and four on goal. Goalkeepers Carson Thomson-Terrel and Ari Beddoes each had two saves while the Lumberjacks' back line prevented any dangerous opportunities. Humboldt also limited San Francisco State to just one corner in the contest.
