ARCATA, Calif. — Cal Poly Humboldt rowing's Varsity 4+ has been named the GNAC Crew of the Week after a dominant showing at the Falcon Regatta in Seattle this past weekend. The Lumberjacks secured two victories against Division II competition, defeating both Western Washington and Seattle Pacific to complete a weekend sweep.
The honor marks the second consecutive week that Humboldt has earned GNAC Crew of the Week recognition, after the Varsity 8+ crew garnered the award last week.
Humboldt's Varsity 4+ delivered a composed and powerful performance across both heats of races, showcasing depth and consistency against two of the top programs in the region. The back-to-back weekly honors highlight the 'Jacks' early-season momentum and depth across their lineup.
The Varsity 4+ crew was comprised of Coxswain Olivia Huynh, Stroke Laurel Calhoun, 3-seat Rowan White (1st flight) and Nadia Weise (2nd flight), 2-seat Keziah Rutschow, and bow Emma Wilson.
The strong weekend performance comes as Cal Poly Humboldt continues to gain national recognition, currently ranked No. 2 in the CRCA Week 3 NCAA Division II Poll. The 'Jacks received two first-place votes, trailing only Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

Humboldt's success against ranked GNAC opponents reinforces its position as one of the top Division II programs in the nation as the season progresses.
The Lumberjacks will look to carry their momentum into the weekend, as they host their annual Blue Heron Humboldt Regatta this Saturday, March 28 at 8:00 AM from Humboldt Bay Aquatic Center in Eureka.
