Cal Poly Humboldt's Isabel Perez-Zoghi has captured her second FloCollege/CCAA Women's Track Athletes of the Week award in three weeks with another school record.
Perez-Zoghbi set another Lumberjack record, this time in the 1,500-meter in a time of 4:23.25 last week at the Bryan Clay Invitational. The provisional qualifying time was one of four posted by a CCAA athlete at the Bryan Clay Invitational and Perez-Zoghbi was the leader of the pack. Click here to see the CCAA Performance List.
The junior from Merced, Calif., now has the 12th best time in Division II in the 1500. Two weeks ago, she set a new Humboldt record in the 800m and is still the second fastest in Division II.
This is Perez-Zoghbi's second Athlete of the Week award this season, the third in her career. Click here for a complete list of past CCAA Track & Field Athletes of the Week.
The Lumberjacks will next join the rest of the conference at the CCAA Track & Field Championships in San Marcos, April 30-May 2.
