Lumberjacks To Host SF State This Saturday at 2pm

ARCATA, Calif.---  The Humboldt State men's soccer team will begin their season ending three-game home stand this Saturday, November 2 at 2pm when the Lumberjacks host San Francisco State at College Creek Field. 
 
RECAP OF HSU'S LAST MATCHES:  Humboldt State went 0-2 in its road trip of the 2019 regular season last weekend in Southern California.  The Lumberjacks started off the weekend with a 4-0 loss at Cal Poly Pomona with Tab Heinz recording seven saves in goal for the 'Jacks.  On Sunday afternoon, HSU lost 3-1 to No. 9 Cal State San Bernardino in San Bernardino.  Israel Gonzalez scored HSU's goal off a ball from Motoki Sato and Isaiah Dairo.  Heinz had seven saves in goal for the 'Jacks.
 
UPDATE ON THE LUMBERJACKS:  Humboldt State enters its final home stand with a 6-8 overall record and a 2-7 CCAA record.  Isaiah Dairo leads the way with his nine goals to go with his two assists for a team high 20 points.  Marco Silveira is second on the team with his team leading eight assists to go with his two goals for 12 points.  Gus Baxter has scored five goals of which four are off of penalty kicks to go with his one assist.  Devin Hauenstein and Dalton Rice are tied for fourth in scoring each with eight goals (three goals and two assists).  Ethan Waters also has three goals and has added an assist and Israel Gonzalez has scored four times this season.  Motoki Sato has two assists while Nicolas Falco also has scored a goal with an assist. Other 'Jacks with assists this season are Martin Calderon, Angel Rodriguez and Jacob Bruton.  Robert Quintero has a 1.96 goals against average with 51 saves and a .708 saves percentage in 11 matches.  Tab Heinz has posted a 2.72 goals against average in four matches with 15 saves and a .625 saves percentage.

GATORS IN REVIEW:  San Francisco State is 9-4 overall and 6-4 in the CCAA after defeating No. 9 Cal State San Bernardino 2-1 in overtime and losing 7-1 to Cal Poly Pomona in Southern California this past weekend.  London Lombana leads the way with his three goals and three assists followed by Ramiro Palencia with four goals and one assist.  Selya Otsuka has two goals and three assists for the Gators.  Peter Swinkels has posted a 1.59 goals against average in goal for SF State with a .661 saves percentage and 41 saves.
 
WHAT'S NEXT:  After Saturday's match, HSU will host its final two matches of the regular season on November 7 and 9.  The Lumberjacks will entertain Cal State Dominguez Hills on November 7 at 3pm and Cal State Los Angeles on November 9 at 11:30am in its Senior Day match.
