ARCATA, Calif.----  The nationally ranked Humboldt State women's rowing team has announced the signing of Cassidy Hollenbeck to a National Letter of Intent.  Hollenbeck will graduate later this spring from Kaiser High School.

She is a multi-sport student-athlete who is on the track and field team at Kaiser High School.  Hollenbeck was born in Nebraska and moved to Oahu, Hawaii, with her family when she was ten years old.  She has participated in a variety of sports including soccer, paddling, cross country, track and field and surfing.

Her paddling crew were runner-ups in the 2020 OIA Championships losing to the first-place team by just 0.39 seconds.  They also qualified for the 2020 HHSAA State Championships and she was the captain of the Paddling Team her senior season.

Hollenbeck qualified for the HHSAA State Championship in the pole vault all four years of her interscholastic career.  She was a part of the Kaiser Girl's Track and Field Team that took first place in the OIA Championships and runner-up in the HHSAA State Championship in 2017.  In 2018, Hollenbeck captured the Pole Vault for the OIA Eastern Championship and placed second in the OIA Championships.  She was captain of the track and field team this past season

Besides earning awards for her athletic prowess, Hollenbeck also has earned honors for her academic achievements.  This year's Valedictorian received Summa Cum Laude honors along with STEM Honors as well as Career Technology and Entrepreneurship honors. She is a member of the National Honor Society and is a candidate of the International Baccalaureate Career-Related Program.
