ARCATA, Calif.--- Cal Poly Humboldt men's and women's track and field teams will host their annual Humboldt Invitational this Saturday, March 26 at Redwood Bowl.  The invitational will begin at 9am with the throwing events with the running events to begin at noon. 
 
RECAP OF LAST MEET: Eighteen members of the Cal Poly Humboldt men's and women's outdoor track and field team recorded top five finishes in their respective events at the 2022 OSU PNW Invitational at the Kim Whyte Track & Field Complex on the campus of Oregon State University in Corvallis, Ore.  Leading the way was Julian Jensen (800-meter run), Jaxon Leduc (3000 steeplechase), and Jared Del Real (shot put, discus) who all recorded second place finishes in their respective events. Joy Hano paced the Jack women with her time of 14.90 which placed her third in the 100-hurdles.  Hano moved into sixth place on the Humboldt top ten list.
 
 AMONGST THE CCAA LEADERS:  Even though it is early in the outdoor season, several Lumberjacks have recorded top 10 marks or times in the CCAA.  Here are the Jacks that have posted 15 top ten marks or times this season:

SENIOR DAY: Cal Poly Humboldt's track and field team will be recognizing their seniors during the invitational on Saturday.  This year's seniors are Travis Allen, Malachi Arthur Emily Bath, Slade Cavallaro, Jared Del Real, Jackson Miller, Shane Oliver, Kegan Richards and Nolan Smith.

THIS WEEK: Cal Poly Humboldt will host the Humboldt Invitational this Saturday, March 26 at the Redwood Bowl.  The event will begin at 9am with the hammer throw with the running events to begin at noon with the 4x100 relays.  At 11:40am, the Lumberjack track and field teams will recognize their Class of 2022 seniors.  Other teams competing will be Simpson University, Shasta College, College of the Redwoods, Multnomah University and Southern Oregon University. 

UP NEXT:  The Jacks will be on the road next week in the Bay Area, March 31-April 2.  They will participate in the Chabot College Invitational on March 31. Humboldt will be in San Francisco at the Mike Fanelli Track Classic on the campus of San Francisco State University.
