CAL POLY HUMBOLDT TRACK & FIELD TO COMPETE IN CCAA'S
Both of the Cal Poly Humboldt Track and Field Team will return to the track this weekend when the Jacks compete in the 2022 CCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Cox Stadium on the campus of San Francisco State University in San Francisco, Calif. JACKS FINISH OFF 2022 SEASON 10-2 WIN OVER NO. 8 CAL STATE SAN MARCOS
The Cal Poly Humboldt Lumberjacks' softball finished off their 2022 season with a 10-2 (five inning) win over No. 8 Cal State San Marcos. The Cougars took the first three games 9-1 (5), 3-2 (9) and 7-1 before taking the series finale 10-2. The Jacks finished the season with a 14-39 overall record including a 7-29 record in the CCAA. The trio of Izzy Starr, Micaela Harris and JoAna Mullins paced the Jacks with their .395, .388 and .333 batting averages. Harris led Humboldt with her 69 hits, seven triples, 53 runs and 48 stolen bases. Starr had a team high 15 doubles, 41 runs batted in and .605 slugging percentage. Gaige Garcia had a team low 4.64 earned run average while Karen Di Dio struck out a team high 66 batters.
EIGHTH RANKED JACKS FINISH SECOND AND THIRD AT WIRA's
The eighth ranked Cal Poly Humboldt women's rowing team had both of their varsity eight + and varsity four + finish in second and third this Sunday at the WIRAs. The Jacks' eight had a second-place time of 6:54.171 while the fours finished in third place with a time of 8:19.081 in each event's Grand Final. On Saturday, Humboldt's novice 4+ captured the Petite Final with a time of 9:38.487. The Jacks are off until May 14 when they travel to Dexter, Oregon, to participate in the GNAC Championships at Dexter Lake.
HUMBOLDT'S SAAC HELD ANNUAL AWARDS BANQUET
Cal Poly Humboldt's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) held its annual awards banquet on Sunday. Marco Silveira and
Joy Hano were named the Humboldt Male and Female Athletes of the Week. The Evelyn Andrews recipient was Izzy Starr. The Lumberjack Spirit Award went to the Lumberjack men's soccer team while
Macy Thomas was the Community Engagement Leader of the Year.
Motoki Sato captured the Academic Achievement Award. The Freshman of the Year went to Delaena Montes and
Madison Parry captured the Newcomer of the Year.

STARR AND McADAMS ARE THIS WEEK'S HUMBOLDT STATE LUMBERJACK STUDENT-ATHLETES OF THE WEEK
A pair of softball players in Izzy Starr and Emily McAdams are this week's Cal Poly Humboldt Lumberjacks' Student-Athletes of the Week

Starr hit .500 in the Jacks' four-game series against No. 8 Cal State San Marcos. She went six-for-12 with a home run and a double while driving in six runs and scoring twice. The Jack third baseman/catcher had 10 total bases while posting a .833 slugging and .538 on-base percentage.

McAdams went 1-1 in the circle for the Jacks with a 2.50 earned run average. She struck out 10 batters in 14 innings while pitching two complete games including one in Humboldt's 10-2 (5) series finale victory. The senior pitcher went two-for-six with a .333 batting average in two games while scoring two runs.
