NEW ORLEANS, La.--- As announced earlier this week, both of the Cal Poly Humboldt men's and women's track and field teams earned 2022 United States Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team honors. Jack runner
Rosa Granados was named a 2022 USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete.
To earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Team honors, a team must have a 3.0 or higher cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
For a student-athlete to earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete honors, s/he must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or higher on a 4.0 scale. They also must have achieved an automatic or provisional qualifying mark (individual or relay event) for either the indoor season or outdoor season.
Humboldt women's team was one of over 100 women's teams from across NCAA Division II to earn this honor. The Jack men's team also was one of over 100 men's teams across NCAA Division II to be named USTFCCCA All-Academic Team.

Granados was one of 400 student-athletes from NCAA Division II to be named an USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete. She earned a NCAA Division II provisional mark with her time of 36:27.66 which she ran at the Mike Fanelli Classic on March 31 in San Francisco. That time currently is the sixth fastest time in school history.
Earlier this month, twelve Jacks were named to the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Spring Academic Honor Roll. These Jacks, under the guidance of head coach
Sarah Ingram, were Granados along with

Emily Bath,
Pearl Burton,
Shane Burton,
Kaela Dennert-Frederick,
Joy Hano,
Valerie Heywood,
Grace Kasberger,
Andie Kolasinski,
Jaxon Leduc and
Saedy Williamson.
At the 2022 CCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships that were held at San Francisco State in May, six Jacks earned All-CCAA honors by finishing in the top three in their respective events. Hano captured the 100-meter hurdles while Kasberger won the heptathlon. Also earning All-CCAA honors were
Grant Van Emmerik (second, 400-meter),
Aris Valerio (second, 800-meter),
Jared Del Real (third, shot put) and Allen (third, decathlon).
