Cam Timmons Returns to Humboldt Men's Basketball

ARCATA, Calif. -- Cal Poly Humboldt head men's basketball coach Chris Tifft announced on Friday that Cam Timmons will return to the team this season.

"We could not be more excited about Cam returning to the Cal Poly Humboldt men's basketball program," said Tifft. "Not only is Cam a talented basketball player, he is someone who embodies all that we value in a student-athlete.  Cam's ability, maturity, and experience in the CCAA will pay huge dividends as we continue to build a championship program."

The 6'11" center from Ashburn, Virginia has played the past two seasons with the Lumberjacks and started 45 of 47 games. This past season, Timmons averaged 9.6 points per game and 6.8 rebounds per game, which were both higher averages than the previous 2021-22 season. He also recorded three double-doubles which included a season high 21 points versus Cal State Monterey Bay and a season high 14 rebounds versus Cal State San Bernardino. Timmons led the team in blocks each of the past two seasons, recording 22 this past year and 20 the year prior.
