ARCATA, Calif. -- Cal Poly Humboldt women's soccer hosted Western Oregon for a non-conference matchup on Saturday from College Creek Field. The Lumberjacks and Wolves battled throughout a very physical and gritty match, but in the end neither team found the back of the net which resulted in a 0-0 draw. 
Kylea Becker led the team with three shots. 
Carson Thomson-Terrel recorded a season-high seven saves. 
 
Match Summary
Western Oregon came out of the gate strong and controlled the attack for a majority of the first half, outshooting Humboldt 9-3 and also having two more corner kick opportunities (4-2). Despite having more opportunities, Humboldt keeper 
Carson Thomson-Terrel held off the Wolves from scoring as she recorded five saves in the first half. 
Cal Poly Humboldt adjusted their approach in the second half and were able to push the ball up field at a higher rate. The 'Jacks doubled their shot total compared to the first half (6-3) and the back line held Western Oregon to just two shots on goal, in which Thomson-Terrel both saved. The fifth and sixth ranked teams in the Western Region battled to a draw and both remain undefeated with a 3-0-1 record.
