Kasberger Shines at Pacific Multi, Hits NCAA Provisional Mark

FOREST GROVE, Ore. -- Grace Kasberger and Cocome McKamey of Cal Poly Humboldt Women's Track & Field and Bryce Pearson of the men's team competed in the Pacific Multi on Sunday and Monday.

Shining at this meet was Grace Kasberger, as she won the heptathlon event, hit new personal records in the 800m (2:21.45) and in the heptathlon as a whole (4581 points), and hit an NCAA provisional mark. Kasberger is now the third member of the women's team to earn an NCAA provisional mark this outdoor season, joining 100m hurdler Joy Hano and 400m hurdler Isabel Perez-Zoghbi

Cocome McKamey finished first in the 100m hurdles with a time of 15.17 and third in the shotput with a throw of 10.57m.

Bryce Pearson won the 100m, finished second in the high jump and long jump, and was third in the shotput and discus. Pearson was first place overall in the competition after the fourth event but ended up not competing in the 400m.

Humboldt will head to the bay area next week to compete at the Mike Fanneli Track Classic and Stanford Invitational.
