SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Senior Grace Kasberger delivered an impressive all-around performance at the Sam Adams Combined Events, finishing third overall in the heptathlon with 4,410 points at the event hosted by UC Santa Barbara.
Competing against a field that included athletes from NCAA Division I and II programs, as well as unattached competitors, Kasberger showcased her versatility across the seven-event discipline. Her third-place finish placed her ahead of all NCAA Division I and II opponents, with only an unattached competitor and a CCCAA (California Community College Athletic Association) athlete finishing ahead of her.
Kasberger's performance was highlighted by a runner-up finish in the shot put (11.05m | 36'3"), a strong third-place finish in the 100-meter hurdles (15.20), and a second-place finish in the 800 meters (2:29.15). She also delivered solid marks in the long jump (5.01m), high jump (1.48m), javelin (27.46m), and 200 meters (27.11).
The performance marks another milestone in Kasberger's senior campaign, setting the stage for what promises to be a strong outdoor season for the Lumberjacks.
