CHICO, Calif. -- The Cal Poly Humboldt women's track and field team put on an impressive display at the 2025 Wildcat Invite held at Chico State. With standout performances across several events, Humboldt athletes showcased their talents and achieved new personal bests in a highly competitive field.
The team highlight of the meet was the women's 4x400m relay team, consisting of Mikenna Conan, Artana Nice, Lex Craven, and Izzi Peila, who secured 4th place with a time of 4:27.34. The team's strong finish added to a series of top performances for Humboldt throughout the competition.
In individual events, Mia Roberts took 1st place in the 200m with a time of 25.49, while Brielle Jimerson placed 3rd in the same event with a time of 25.96. Roberts also earned a solid 2nd place finish in the 100m (12.55) and set a new personal record in the 200m (25.49). Other notable results include Joy Hano, who earned 1st place in the 100m hurdles with a time of 15.15, and Christina Roberds, who finished 3rd in the same event (15.59). Hano also placed 1st in the 100m hurdles prelims (15.19), marking an impressive outing for the senior.
Ginny Brooks continued her standout season with a 1st place finish in the long jump, setting a mark of 5.16m (16' 11.25"). Additionally, Lily Shadden and Katie MacLean tied for 3rd in the high jump with jumps of 1.48m (4' 10.25").
In the shot put, Grace Kasberger earned 3rd place with a throw of 11.21m (36' 9.5"), while Samantha Smith achieved a new personal record in the discus with a toss of 38.28m (125' 7"), finishing 4th in the event. Marielle Winuk also set a personal best in the hammer throw, placing 5th with a mark of 42.83m (140' 6").
The distance events also saw impressive performances, with Artana Nice finishing 3rd in the 5000m with a time of 17:32.01, and Mikenna Conan posting a new personal best in both the 800m (2:23.37) and 1500m (4:50.46). Additionally, Alexa Amador, Brinna Weiseth, Charlotte Leonard, and Izzi Peila all competed strongly in the 5000m, while setting new personal records.
Humboldt athletes continued to make their mark in other events as well, including Christina Roberds who set a personal best in the 100m with a time of 12.87.
With a strong team performance, including multiple personal bests and podium finishes, Cal Poly Humboldt will look to build on this momentum as they prepare for the remainder of the 2025 season.

Team Scores
The Cal Poly Humboldt women's team earned a strong second-place finish with a score of 111 points. Chico State took first place with 326 points, while Humboldt outperformed the other teams, including CSUMB (57 points) and Butte (37 points).
The Lumberjacks will look ahead as they prepare for their next competition in Sacramento on March 21 and 22 at the Sacramento State Hornet Invite.
