CHICO, Calif. – Cal Poly Humboldt Women's Track & Field turned in an impressive all-around performance at the 2025 Chico Invitational, finishing second out of 15 teams over the two-day meet hosted by Chico State. The Jacks earned multiple podium finishes and individual titles, highlighted by event wins from Mia Roberts in the 100 meters and Artana Nice in the 800 meters.
Freshman Artana Nice continued her breakout season by clocking a personal-best 2:13.64 to win the 800 meters, a mark that now ranks her 5th in the CCAA. She also placed fourth in the 1500 meters (4:35.31), contributing valuable points to the team score.
In the sprints, sophomore Mia Roberts dominated the short distances, winning the 100 meters in 12.51 seconds and finishing runner-up in the 200 meters (25.51). Roberts also anchored Humboldt's 4x100-meter relay to a second-place finish (48.33) alongside teammates Joy Hano, Chris Roberds, and Cadence Peery.
First-year sprinter Brielle Jimerson broke the one-minute barrier in the 400 meters, running a personal-best 58.82 to finish third. Her time ranks her 16th in the CCAA. She also added a seventh-place finish in the 200 meters (26.04).
