LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Cal Poly Humboldt's Katlyn Gifford scored the final Division II Louisville Slugger/NFCA Player of the Week honor for the 2025 season.Â
Gifford keyed the Lumberjacks to a three-game sweep of Stanislaus State to close out their 2025 season. She was 6-for-8 (.750) at the plate with a pair of home runs, seven RBI and six runs scored. Gifford's .727 on-base percentage and 1.500 slugging led to a 2.227 OPS. The junior first baseman launched both home runs in game two, the first a two-run shot in the sixth, followed by a walk-off three-run homer in the seventh, lifting the Jacks to a 6-5 comeback win.
Gifford was also named CCAA Player of the Week by the California Collegiate Athletic Association on Monday afternoon.Â
