TURLOCK, Calif. – The Cal Poly Humboldt women's track & field team wrapped up the 2025 CCAA Track & Field Championships with a strong showing on Championship Saturday, highlighted by senior Joy Hano's silver medal in the 100-meter hurdles.
Hano clocked in at 14.78 seconds to earn the silver medal, marking her third year on the CCAA podium in the event. She won gold in 2022 and silver in 2023, continuing her dominant legacy in the hurdles for the Jacks. Teammate Chris Roberds joined Hano in the final and secured valuable team points with a fifth-place finish in 15.01 seconds.
In the women's 800 meters, Mikenna Conan delivered a clutch performance for the Jacks, finishing fourth overall with a time of 2:14.20. Conan's strong race earned team points for Humboldt in a highly competitive field.
Lily Shadden added to the point total in the high jump, clearing 1.54 meters to finish eighth overall, while Samantha Smith capped off the scoring effort with a sixth-place finish in the discus. Smith's best mark of the day was 36.06 meters, contributing additional points to the team's overall standings.
The Jacks closed out the championship meet in eighth place, bolstered by scoring performances across hurdles, middle distance, jumps, and throws—reflecting the team's growing balance and competitiveness in the CCAA.
