ARCATA, Calif. - The Cal Poly Humboldt volleyball team continues its three-match homestand this week with CCAA contests against UC Merced and unbeaten No. 4 Fresno Pacific inside Lumberjack Arena.

The Lumberjacks will host UC Merced for the Dig Pink Match on Thursday, Oct. 15, at 7 p.m. Humboldt will return Saturday, Oct. 17, to face the ranked Sunbirds at 1 p.m. for Hometown Heroes and Faculty and Staff Appreciation.

LAST TIME OUT

Humboldt improved to 8-7 overall and 3-4 in CCAA play with a straight-set victory over Cal State Dominguez Hills on Saturday. The Lumberjacks secured the sweep by set scores of 25-20, 26-24 and 25-19.

Avary Spoja led Humboldt with 15 kills while hitting .583 and added nine digs, two block assists and one service ace. Graysen Trupp recorded 12 kills and two aces, while Elizabeth Jade Andrade finished with a match-high 13 digs.

The Lumberjacks hit .267 and held advantages in digs, total blocks and service aces.

DIG PINK AGAINST UC MERCED

UC Merced enters Thursday's match with a 4-12 overall record and a 1-6 mark in CCAA play.

The Bobcats' lone conference victory came against Cal State Dominguez Hills. UC Merced has dropped its last seven matches entering the trip to Arcata.

Thursday will mark the first meeting of the season between Humboldt and UC Merced. The Lumberjacks will make the return trip to Merced on Oct. 24.

UNBEATEN SUNBIRDS VISIT ARCATA

Fresno Pacific enters the week undefeated at 17-0 overall and 7-0 in conference play.

The Sunbirds opened CCAA competition with seven consecutive victories and will face Cal State Monterey Bay on Thursday before traveling to Arcata.

Saturday's match will conclude Humboldt's three-match homestand and begin a home-and-away series between the programs. The Lumberjacks will visit Fresno Pacific on Oct. 23.

The Lumberjacks will begin a four-match road trip Friday, Oct. 23, at the No. 4 ranked Fresno Pacific Sunbirds before facing UC Merced on Saturday, Oct. 24.
