Isabel Perez-Zoghbi Runs Her Way to the NCAA DII Outdoor Championships

EMPORIA, Kan. - Junior Isabel Perez-Zoghbi of the Cal Poly Humboldt women's track & field team will be competing at the NCAA DII Outdoor Championships hosted by Emporia State this weekend. Perez-Zoghbi will be representing the green & gold in the women's 800m on Friday, May 22 at 6:15 p.m., where she will go up against the best of the best across the country.

Perez-Zoghbi was a USTFCCCA West Region selection in the 800m this season as well as a CCAA champion in her event, placing first with a time of 2:08.00 at the CCAA Championships earlier this month. The junior has taken gold in the 800m twice this season. She earned a personal best time of 2:04.92 at the Mike Fanelli Track Classic, beating her previous best of 2:07.00 from the 2025 NCAA DII Outdoor Championships.

The phenom mid-distance runner will take the stage this weekend in Kansas to improve on past performances and compete on one of the biggest stages.
