SAN MARCOS, Calif. — Isabel Perez-Zoghbi delivered another championship performance Saturday as Cal Poly Humboldt wrapped up the 2026 CCAA Track & Field Championships with a fifth-place team finish.
Perez-Zoghbi captured gold in the women's 800 meters, winning the conference title in 2:08.00. The victory marked her second gold medal of the championships. She was also named the CCAA Elite 13 Award recipient, an honor recognizing the student-athlete competing at the conference championship level who has achieved the highest academic standard among their peers.
Humboldt also made history in the women's 4x100 relay, as Kelsi Lytle, Caitlyn Dougherty, Brielle Jimerson, and Mia Roberts posted a new school-record (breaking their own previously set at 46.52) and NCAA Division II provisional mark of 46.34 to earn silver.
Dougherty added another podium finish in the 400-meter hurdles, placing second in 1:01.89 to earn her second silver of the meet. The 4x400 relay team of Lytle, Perez-Zoghbi, Dougherty, and Jimerson finished fourth in 3:51.70.
In the shot put, Humboldt scored three athletes, led by Laura White in fifth at 11.84m, followed by Isabella Claussen in sixth at 11.68m and Sophie Coil in eighth at 11.53m.
Additional Humboldt finishers included Brinna Weiseth in the 5,000 meters at 18:35.18 and Maddie McKenna in 19:04.72.
The Lumberjacks totaled 65 points to place fifth out of 10 teams in the final women's team standings.
