Humboldt Heads to Hawai‘i for Two-Match Trip

OAHU, Hawai'i. - The Cal Poly Humboldt women's soccer team heads to Hawai'i this week for a pair of non-conference matches against Hawai'i Pacific and Hawai'i Hilo.

The Lumberjacks open the trip Wednesday, Sept. 2, against Hawai'i Pacific at the Waipi'o Soccer Complex in O'ahu. Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. PT (11 a.m. HST). Humboldt will then travel to face Hawai'i Hilo on Friday, Sept. 4, at 1:30 p.m. PT (10:30 a.m. HST) at Vulcan Soccer Field.

LAST TIME OUT

Humboldt opened the 2026 season with a 1-1 record at the Humboldt Kickoff Classic. The Lumberjacks defeated Central Washington 1-0 in their opener before falling 3-2 to Concordia University Irvine in the tournament finale.

Sari Murphy scored in both matches, including the game-winning goal against Central Washington. Kyla Okamoto added Humboldt's second goal against Concordia Irvine, while Heidie Munoz recorded two assists during the weekend. Lucy Al-Chokhachy also contributed an assist.

The Lumberjacks generated consistent pressure throughout the tournament, outshooting their opponents 26-13 and holding a 12-5 advantage in shots on goal.

SHARKS SHOWDOWN

Humboldt begins its Hawai'i trip against Hawai'i Pacific on Wednesday afternoon. The Sharks enter the matchup with an 0-3 record after opening their season with losses to UT Dallas, Hawai'i, and Texas Woman's.

Wednesday's contest will take place at the Waipi'o Soccer Complex, with the Lumberjacks looking to carry their offensive pressure from the opening weekend into their first road match of the season.

VULCAN VISIT

The Lumberjacks will close the trip Friday against Hawai'i Hilo at Vulcan Soccer Field.

The Vulcans opened their season against a pair of nationally ranked opponents, falling to No. 18 Western Washington and No. 24 Simon Fraser. Friday's match will serve as Hawai'i Hilo's home opener.

Humboldt will look to finish its two-match swing on a strong note before returning home for the remainder of its non-conference schedule.
