Johnson's Comments
“We hope to finish the season on a high note and use it a springboard for the spring and next fall.” … “We never know what team will show up for us. It was an embarrassing Senior Day performance. (Sonoma State) is well established and I knew we would have to have a few things go our way to get a win, but to open a new field in that fashion was very disappointing. Then on Sunday we went there and played much better than the score indicated. It was a very close game with both sides having dangerous chances. Unfortunately, they were able to capitalize we were not.” … “If we can play the way we did on Sunday I like our chances this week, but we never know who is going to show up for us. San Francisco (State) is having a better year than anyone would have expected. They have some quality players, but it all comes down to us and how we perform. Injuries are still a factor for us, but everyone has to deal with those. Monterey Bay is a tough place to play. Typically the weather is colder and windier there than anyplace else in the conference. They have a number of good players as well and are struggling just like we are.”
