SAN FRANCISCO – Carly Kolpin broke up a 0-0 tie in the second half on her second goal of the season as the Humboldt State women's soccer team defeated the Gators of San Francisco State 1-0 in the Jacks season finale on Sunday.

The win gives the Lumberjacks a 4-13-1 overall record, 4-11-1 in California Collegiate Athletic Association play.  Despite the loss, SFSU finishes the regular season at the top of the table in the North Division with an 11-4-3 record, 10-4-2 in conference action.

In the second half, San Francisco State outshot HSU 11-to-4, but only two of their shots reached Paugh and she stopped both.  All four of the Jacks shots were on goal.

At the 71:30 mark, Sarah Nakamoto crossed a ball to Kolpin who put is past SFSU keeper Annicia Jones for what would turn out to be the game winner.

Paugh made seven saves in earning the second clean sheet of her career.  Arielle Kern led the Jacks offense taking four of the sides nine shots on the day.  The Gators had two players with three shots each, Lauren Duran and Andrea Carey.
