Lumberjacks To Face Chico State and Stanislaus This Friday and Sunday at College Creek

ARCATA, Calif.---  After a last minute 2-1 loss at No. 25 Sonoma State this past Friday, Humboldt State's women's soccer team will return to College Creek Field for a pair of CCAA matches this Friday and Sunday.  HSU will host Chico State this Friday at 12:30pm and No. 17 Stanislaus State this Sunday at 11:30am.    
 
RECAP OF HSU'S LAST MATCH:  Humboldt State lost 2-1 to the No. 25 Sonoma State Seawolves this past Friday afternoon in Rohnert Park.  Lindsay Stoner connected on a penalty kick for HSU's goal in the 27th minute.  Sonoma State scored the game-winning goal in the 89th minute.  Katelin Talbert recorded a season high 10 saves including six in the second half in goal for the 'Jacks. 
 
UPDATE ON THE LUMBERJACKS:  Humboldt State is now 1-3-2 overall and 0-1 in the CCAA after its 2-1 loss at Sonoma State.  The Lumberjacks are averaging 1.09 goals a game while giving up 1.24 goals a game.  Katelin Talbert has a 1.24 goals against average in seven matches.  The senior keeper has 31 saves and a 0.795 saves percentage with two shutouts. Linday Stoner has scored a team high two goals while Sabine Postma has a team leading three assists.  Postma along with Erin Siegel, Rose Harman and Pikake Hix also have scored goals for HSU.

WILDCATS IN REVIEW:  Chico State enters Friday afternoon's contest with the Lumberjacks with a 5-2-1 overall record and a 1-1 CCAA record.  The Wildcats went 1-1 last weekend defeating Cal State Dominguez Hills 2-1 and losing 1-0 to Cal State Los Angeles.  They are averaging 1.46 goals a game while giving up 0.61 goals a game.  Victoria Graham has seen the majority of the time in goal, posting a 0.93 goals against average with 22 saves an .815 saves percentage.  Abbie Jones leads the way with her three goals and Jordan Doukakis has a team leading three assists.  Cody Johnson is next on the team with her two goals.  Chico State leads the all-time series 11-5-4 with the last Lumberjack win, a 2-1 win on September 29, 2017 in Arcata. 
 
WARRIORS IN REVIEW:  No. 17 Stanislaus State went 1-1 last weekend to go to 6-1 overall and 1-1 in the CCAA.  The Warriors lost 2-1 to Cal State L.A. and defeated Cal State Dominguez Hills 3-0.  They are averaging 2.24 goals a game while giving up 0.84 goals a game.  Alyssa Hermann has played in seven matches in goal for the Warriors.  She has posted a 0.71 goals against average with 26 saves and a .844 saves percentage.  Skyler Joy leads the team with her four goals while Ilena Rivera has a team high four assists to go with her three goals.  Stanislaus State leads the
 
WHAT'S NEXT:  Humboldt State will return to the pitch for a pair of CCAA matches in Southern California after its two home matches this week. The Lumberjacks will face UC San Diego on October 11 at 7pm in La Jolla and Cal State San Marcos on October 13 at 11:30am.
