FOSTER CITY, Calif.--- After a two-hour fog delay, the Humboldt State women's rowing team had a strong showing against traditionally strong NCAA Division I programs. This was the Lumberjacks' first race since May of 2021 at the GNAC Championships.

COLLEGIATE 4+: The Lumberjack women's collegiate 4+ boat placed eighth with a time of 22:30.4. The boat consisted of coxswain Cadence Duckett with rowers
Malia Seeley, Cheyenne Zabinski,
Cassidy Hollenbeck and
Kealey Scott. The University of Washington Huskies won the college 4+ with a time of 20:42.2.
NOVICE 4+: Humboldt State's novice 4+ boat finished in third place with a time of 24:43.8. The Lumberjacks that were a part of the novice 4+ were coxswain,
Sophie Reich with rowers Amelia Marks,
Marjorie Johnson, Autumn Pecavorich and
Marie-Claire Desplancke.
COLLEGIATE 8+: HSU's collegiate 8+ boat of coxswain, Cadence Duckett and rowers
Kierstyn Hughes, Emily Marsolais,
Megan Franco, Dana Foley,
Malia Seeley, Cheyenee Zabinski,
Cassidy Hollenbeck and
Kealey Scott finished in eight place with a time of 21:04.6. The University of Washington captured the race with a time of 17:59.1.
NOVICE 8+: The Lumberjack novice 8+ boat finished in second with a time of 23:17.2 with UC Davis capturing the race with a time of 22:29.6. The boat consisted of coxswain, Kylie Spieth with rowers
Marjorie Johnson, Amelia Marks,
Marie-Claire Desplancke, Shaye Grant, Maddie Johnson, Asher Kolden,
Amanda Roosma and Chloe Pieper-Warren.
UP NEXT: Humboldt State will return to the water after the New Year for its championship season. HSU will participate in the Sacramento Invite on March 12, 2022 in Sacramento, Calif.
