"The team was really on the same page today as far as their energy level and commitment to each other was concerned," said head coach
Grant Landy. We played with great intensity and grit. Second half we pushed a little higher and got some good looks on goal. PSU is an athletic team and was a great test for us. We will see if we can come back Saturday with another solid effort."
The Vikings only outshot Humboldt State, 11-7.
Alexis Aguilar recorded her second shutout in goal for the Lumberjacks.
The two teams will face each other this Saturday, May 1 at 11am again at Portland State's Stott Field.
